Amazon UK failing to deliver some Xbox Ones at launch

Reports are building of major issues with Amazon’s fulfilment of day one Xbox One orders.

Issues are arising with those customers who appear to have their console delivery coming via UK delivery service City Link.  Many are reporting that the console was marked as dispatched at around 18:45/18:50 Thursday 21st with a delivery date slated for Friday 22nd between 7:30 and 17:30.

These units appear to have been overlooked though with reports from City Link customer services stating these larger container trucks did not leave until somewhere between 7 and 9 am of Friday 22nd.  Knock on effect here is that these consoles will now not be coming until Monday 25th November a full 3 days after after he launch date.

No official comment from either City Link or Amazon UK. My advice is to do what I’ve just done, as I’m one of these poor gamers, is ask Amazon UK to bump you up to a Saturday delivery.

Amazon UK deliveries of the next gen Xbox One console from otherdelivery services appear to be operational at this time as far as we can substantiate.

As to further action or what compensation is possible here its a little less clear. One thing is for sure, I’m dreading my PS 4 coming from Amazon UK next week!
