Bringing you opinions on the latest news for films, comics, TV, videogames and more – welcome to episode 15 of the Nerds Assemble podcast.

In this week’s episode, Paul, Paul, Paul and I are joined by our first ever special guest, Telikos Protocol writer, Peter Cooper. The five of us discuss some of the biggest news of the past week, plus Peter gives us insight in how to run a successful crowdfunding campaign.

Before we grill Peter on how to be a star on Kickstarter, we take a look at the first full trailer for World War Z. Is the film going to be anything like the novel or has Hollywood and Brad Pitt had their wicked way with the film, far too much?

Paul/Retroid and I lay our souls bare as we lament DC’s decision to cancel Vertigo’s Hellblazer as of issue 300. DC will instead continue with John Constantine as part of Justice League Dark and launch a new Constantine comic, focusing on a depiction of Hellblazer that Retroid and I just can’t handle.

And we analyse some of the latest sales figures for the PS Vita in Japan and wonder just what it is that Sony needs to do to get the console selling at home and abroad.

Finally, we get to the meat of our episode with an in-depth look into crowdfunding, courtesy of Peter, as he takes us through the process and talks about what does and doesn’t work.
