FIFA 13 Topped UK Sales Chart Last Week, Despite Resident Evil 6 Debut
Despite a jaw-dropping 72% decline in sales from the prior week, EA Sports’ FIFA 13 was the top selling title in the UK last week, easily outperforming the debut of Capcom’s Resident Evil 6.
According to data from UKIE and GfK Chart-Track, the sales from the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of FIFA 13 alone were enough to keep the game ahead of Resident Evil 6, with the top two spots on the individual SKU chart belonging to EA’s latest soccer title.
Outside of the sales battle between EA and Capcom at the top of the charts, Ubisoft hit it big with the release of Just Dance 4, which debuted at #4 in the all-formats chart. Making this sales feat even more impressive is that it appears the game’s sales came almost exclusively from the Wii version. It landed at #6 on the individual SKU chart, right behind the Xbox 360 version of Borderlands 2. The other versions of Just Dance 4 failed to make the top 40 chart.
The UK Top 20 Software All-Formats Chart for the week ending October 6, 2012 is as follows:
