An Unofficial Gamer’s Adventure, Book Two
If you’re a parent, it’s likely you’ve heard more about Minecraft than any one person can absorb. With it’s easy to play and oh so addictive mechanic, Minecraft is *the* game of choice for the under ten set. And while there’s no doubt that it’s a game that fosters creativity and problem solving, most parents simply don’t want their kids glued to a screen for every second of the day. With that in mind, we’ve found the perfect gift for your little Minecraft addict – a fun adventure featuring all of their favorite Minecraft features in book form.
In The Mystery of the Griefer’s Mark, Steve has recovered from his adventures in the first book (The Quest For the Diamond Sword) and is once again enjoying his quiet life of farming near a small village. As the adventure begins, Steve is trading in the village when he hears a loud BOOM! After rushing home, our hesitant hero finds that his wheat farm has been destroyed, and his precious diamond sword is gone. Who would do such a thing? There’s only one answer – a griefer. Steve is going to need every bit of bravery he has, and the help of friends old and new to unravel this mystery.
As any Minecraft fan knows, griefers don’t stop at just one act of destruction, and the one plaguing Steve’s village is no different. As Steve calls on the friends he met in his first adventure to help him rebuild the farm, he soon finds out that his neighbors are also being tormented. From a house full of lava to missing spells, someone is sure out to cause a whole lot of misery. As the friends explore, they soon discover a network of tunnels holding a variety of monsters – and the secret to the griefer’s identity (if they can only stay alive long enough to figure it out).
The Mystery of the Griefer’s Mark is told in true Minecraft fashion, with the characters crafting and mining just like in the game. It’s a great way to help feed your child’s Minecraft obsession without letting screen time get out of hand. Whether you’re searching for the perfect gift to put under the tree, or just something new for reading time, The Mystery of the Griefer’s Mark is sure to bring a smile to your little gamer’s face.
