Targets of Revenge (Book) Review

Targets of Revenge is a well written spy thriller that reads like your favorite action film. With near constant plot twists, an unpredictable story line, and an explosive finish, it’s the perfect summer read for readers who want a little action.
Move over James Bond, there’s a new spy in town.
Jordan Sandor is your typical rebel secret agent. He knows how to get things done, and he isn’t afraid to buck the system (and call in favors) to do it. An international terrorist by the name of Adina has killed far too many innocent people – including some fellow agents – and Sandor takes it upon himself to “take care of the problem”, even if his superiors do not agree. But when he finally makes his way to Adina’s secret compound in the Venezuelan forest, he discovers a plot that is much bigger than his plan – and he knows that getting back home in one piece to stop Adina’s greater plan has to take precedence over any of his attempts at revenge assassination.
Targets of Revenge reads like your favorite action movie. There are twists and turns, explosions, gunfire, intrigue, and a whole lot of one man show. Jordan Sandor is that guy – the one who can escape from any situation, the one who faces near certain death at every turn and still manages to come out on top, and perhaps most importantly, he’s the guy who manages to stay one step ahead of the bad guys when it really counts. In other words, he’s the next Jason Bourne, the new James Bond, and his books are every bit as action packed and unpredictable as you’d expect. It makes for a great read, as you just can’t wait to find out what unlikely situation Sandor will end up in next.
While the story line of terrorism and drug trafficking doesn’t seem all that unique at first glance, it is done really well here, and in such a way that it never seems old or overdone. While Agent Sandor manages to land in a whole lot of deadly situations, and carries out some rather unlikely maneuvers when you put them to the realism test, it is all written in such a way that you truly want to believe that Sandor is just that good. It never feels unbelievable, and it manages to keep readers both interested and guessing till the very end.
Targets of Revenge is a well written spy thriller that reads like your favorite action film. With near constant plot twists, an unpredictable story line, and an explosive finish, it’s the perfect summer read for readers who want a little action.
