Jack Maguire is a man of many secrets, and even his partner has no clue how very much he’s kept from her.
Nowhere Man: You Don’t Know Jack, Book 2 is the second entry in the Nowhere Man series by Jerome Walford. Featuring a muscular cop with a piercing gaze and a whole lot to hide, it pulls readers in with a fast-paced story line that really keeps you on your toes. While each volume seems to leave readers with more questions than the last, Jack Maguire’s story and Jerome Walford’s edgy art style are enough to keep you coming back for more.

In the first volume of Nowhere Man: You Don’t Know Jack, we met the mysterious Jack Maguire. He’s a tough police officer with a bit of a chip on his shoulder and a whole lot to prove. And he has a bit more at his disposal to accomplish that than the average cop, in the form of special powers that he must keep hidden from those around him. In Book 2, we see Jack start to lose control over his life, as the very thing that sets him apart from the others threatens to take over.

Those around him might say Jack Maguire is like a whole different person at times – and they’d be right. Whenever he loosens his guard, the thing that is stuck inside him takes over…and Jack is left to deal with the consequences. This is a serious threat to everything from his relationship with love interest Rose, to his career, to his very life. Jack isn’t willing to lose control, and so…he does not sleep. And yet, despite his best efforts, no one can remain vigilant forever.

Like the first entry in the series, Volume 2 leaves readers both intrigued and a little bit confused. Just like Jack’s life, everything moves quickly and cryptically, as both the reader and Jack himself try to get a handle on what, exactly, is going on in Maguire’s life. As everything threatens to fall apart, will Jack be able to pick up the pieces in time…or will his alter ego take the reins for good? This is one psychological thriller that definitely keeps you guessing.
