A story that pulls you in, right from the start.

Not so much?

Always keeps you guessing.

Final Fiendish Findings?

Author Sang Kromh has done a masterful job with Concealed, the first book in the Concealed series. Based on the idea that there are other, supernatural beings concealed amongst in our day to day lives, the Concealed series is one that grips you and keeps you guessing from the first page to the last.

Full Fiendish Findings...

Bijou Fitzroy is not your average sixteen year old. She’s always known she was different, and constantly moving didn’t help her feel like she could fit in either. So when she and her beautiful but mysterious grandmother settle in a small town, she decides to shake off the years of homeschooling and set off on the adventure that is public school, against Gigi’s (her grandmother) wishes. How could she have known that one decision would change her life forever?

As far back as she can remember, Bijou has been stricken with nightly dreams where, no matter what type of peril she is in, a valiant stranger guards over her and keeps her safe. Despite the fact that she has never been able to see his face, she knows with certainty that she loves him. When her first days at her new school finally puts a face to her mysterious stranger, Bijou can help but feel conflicted. Is this truly the man of her dreams, or is she merely reflecting her daytime crush in her dreams?

Bijou’s confusion grows when she realizes that she is far more different than she could have ever imagined. She has always been able to sense the feelings of those around her – well, some of them anyway – and has had to work out different strategies to to shelter herself from the overwhelming outpouring of emotions that occurs when she is in a crowd. Her new school will challenge everything she’s ever known, but one thing is for sure – nothing is as it seems. As she settles in, Bijou begins to realize that everything she thought she knew must be challenged, and absolutely no one can be trusted.

Author Sang Kromh has done a masterful job with Concealed, the first book in the Concealed series. Based on the idea that there are other, supernatural beings concealed amongst in our day to day lives, the Concealed series is one that grips you and keeps you guessing from the first page to the last. Bijou is a believable and sympathetic character, a typical teenage girl inside despite her powers. The people around her are seemingly normal too, at first, but soon Bijou is doubting the intentions of everyone from her new friends to her sacrificing grandmother – and you doubt right along with her. Concealed is a wonderfully written book, and I can’t wait to see what the series has in store next.
