This is what we have been waiting for! The seventh instalment in the hit sci-fi Franchise, Star Wars, will be titled: Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The news went viral after being published on the official Star Wars Twitter page. The post informed fans that principal photography has been wrapped up.

Kathleen Kennedy – who was the producer on E.T Extra Terrestrial and Jurassic Park, and who is now the president of Lucasfilm, said last month that the filming for the movie was nearing it’s completion.

Warwick Davis revealed last week that he would be joining the cast on the sequel, alongside some of the original Star Wars cast members such as: Carrie fisher, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Kenny Baker and Peter Mayhew.

There will be some new faces joining the cast as well, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Domhnall Gleeson, Adam Driver and Lupita Nyong’o.

Moreover, more rumours have been sparked since Benedict Cumberbatch’s appearance on The Graham Norton Show after he refused denial of his involvement in The Force Awakens.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to release on December 18 2015.
