Warner Bros today released the full trailer for Batman: Arkham Origins, and when I mention that the video linked above has several minutes of the Batman fighting Deathstroke… well, I suspect that I could write whatever I like from this point on as your attention will suddenly be there instead.

Setting the scene as a prequel with a younger Batman than in Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, the trailer also shows Black Mask, and has the hero seeming less prepared for facing stronger enemies than the usual thugs he faces – all adding to the information on the setting already announced.

Warner Bros also announced that the pre-ordered 360, PS3 and PC versions of the game will have early access to the Deathstroke pack, allowing players to play as Deathstroke instead – although the phrasing suggests it will be available as separate DLC not long after release. The games is also due for release on the Wii U, but there is no mention of pre-order content for this system as well.

Batman: Arkham Origins is due for release on October 25th on the 360, PS3, Wii U and PC; the related handheld title Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate will be available the same day for the 3DS and PS Vita.
