Castle of Illusion possibly dated
Castle of Illusion was one of my favourite games on the Sega Megadrive. It still stands as one of the best Disney inspired games on any platform on surpassed by Aladdin, also on the Megadrive.
An apparent listing for Castle of Illusion was leaked from a Brazillian game ratings site last month and both Sega and Disney have been tight lipped over the possibilities.
Now a teaser trailer has hit the internet with a note on the video description listing the game as being scheduled for a Summer 2013 release. The game is listed for an appearance on the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PS Vita. No real information yet as to whether this is the original, a reboot or a HD updated version of the game. The lack of a 3DS version would make me think this will be at the very least a HD update to the original title.
Sufficed to say I’ll be happily waiting to see the return of Castle of Illusion!

Awesome! Castle of Illusion was the first Megadrive game I played. I’m not going to say it hasn’t dated – Mickey’s movement feels slow, almost sluggish somehow now – but it’s not dated as much as many other early MD titles, and is still good for a quick play even now. This is one I’ll look forward to!
Yeah having played the 3DS Epic Mickey title at Xmas I’m in the mood for a proper Caslt of Illusion release. The slower pace of Mickey was still evident in that version but it still played out fine – they just need to make sure the game still plays well
the old mickey games were amazing. im glad younger audience might have the chance to play them. Reading about this makes me want to pull out my game gear and play land of illusions
