After a well-received release on the PC and consoles, XCOM: Enemy Unknown has today been announced as soon coming to the Mac thanks to Mac publishers Feral Interactive.

The Mac release is subtitled the Elite Edition, and promises to take advantage of its delay behind the other versions, having the Slingshot and Elite Soldier pack, and the Second Wave update already included. Whether this will affect the pricing – or indeed, system specifications and release date – is currently unknown, with further details promised “closer to the release date.”

XCOM: Enemy Unknown – Elite Edition is due for release on the Mac “in the spring”.

Peter can be described as an old, hairy gamer, a survivor of the console wars of the 1990s, and a part-time MMO addict. He has an especial fondness for retro gaming and observing the progressions in long running gaming series. When scandalously not caught gaming, he can also be found reading comics and fantasy fiction, or practising terrible photography.
