In their week long series, “After Newtown”, PBS has not been afraid to tackle the tough issues. On last night’s episode of NEWSHOUR, host Jeffrey Brown gave viewers a clear look at both sides of the issue. In fact, PBS has done an admirable job of really researching all sides of the horrible massacre that occurred in Newtown, and their accounting does a lot to set the standards for real journalism. In this epsisode, they talked with researchers, high school students, a public health expert, and a writer from Kotaku, Stephen Totilo. Jeffrey Brown even played Call of DutyBlack Ops II with Totilo, as they discussed the issue. Totilo mentions that many who decry violent games have never actually played them. Whatever side of the issue you fall on, this is a top notch piece of reporting, and well worth the time to check it out. Watch the video, and then let us know what you think in the comments below.
