‘A Late Quartet’ Releases On DVD

Accompanying the release are three playlists created on music streaming site Rdio.

Starring, among other, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Christopher Walken, A Late Quartet is the story of “a world-renowned New York based string quartet whose members struggle to stay together on the eve of their 25th anniversary season”. Produced, directed, and written by Yaron Zilberman, it features a range of talents to achieve Zilberman’s unique creative vision. Since this is a movie so centered on music, Fox has created playlists on Rdio both to promote the movie and the music. I’m told this is the first time a movie studio has done this, and we’ll take their word for that, but whatever the reason, there is some great music to be found on these lists created by Zilberman and Nina Lee (a cello player who plays Walken’s daughter in A Late Quartet).
