Elder Scrolls Online Now Registering For Beta
Bethesda Softworks announced today that people can sign up to their closed beta for the hugely anticipated Elder Scrolls Online.
The moment you have been eagerly awaiting is finally here! Now is the time for future members of the Aldmeri Dominion, Daggerfall Covenant, and Ebonheart Pact to rally and show your support!
Coinciding with the release of a new cinematic trailer, the beta signup page initially experienced some strain under the intial flood of people attempting to register, but is still operational. By adding your usual array of personal details, your guild name, previous online MMORPG gaming history and system specifications, the beta registration will notify you in 48 hours (from the time of this post) as to whether you have been successful.
Hardcore fans of the Elder Scrolls series can profess their undying love for Bethesda in the free flow comments box which allows you to state your case as to why you should receive beta access.
For many single player focused games, the idea of a multi player is often a feared and hated addition (see the furore caused by Dead Space 3 as an example with drop in/out co-op), however it’s fair to say that Elder Scrolls veterans have long hoped to see an online version of the Tamriel universe.
No word yet on the actual dates for the beta launch, but the FAQ gives plenty more details about what the winning entries may expect over the next few weeks and months. System specifications aren’t forthcoming as of yet, and there is currently no system in place to reserve guild/character names.
