Call Of Duty: Black Ops II Tops UK Charts For 5th Straight Week

Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops II was the best-selling video game in the UK last week, marking the fifth straight week that the shooter has held the top spot on the sales charts.
While exact sales numbers were not disclosed publicly, Gfk Chart-Track noted that Call of Duty: Black Ops II saw a 14% week-over-week uptick in sales. The spike in sales for Activision’s flagship IP was apparently enough to counter the 91% sales growth that propelled Hitman: Absolution to second place in the All-Formats chart from its sixth place finish in the prior week. The massive increase in sales for Square Enix’s title was attributed to retailer discounts.
Nintendo Wii U exclusive titles continued to struggle in the UK charts, and were represented by Nintendo Land in 39th.
