The Last Of Us New Trailer Shown At The VGAs, Release Date Announced

As reported last week, Walmart’s prediction of a Spring release for Naughty Dog’s The Last Of Us was bang on the money as a formal release date was announced at last weekend’s Spike Video Game Awards.

May 7th is when the PlayStation 3 exclusive is set to drop. A new trailer was shown at the VGA’s which fleshes out the post-apocalyptic world and the backgrounds behind the main protagonists, Joel and Ellie. Showing a bit more of the mutants as well as some signs of populated safe zones.

The Last Of Us is now available to pre-order at all major outlets and online retailers. There are currently two pre-order versions that can be purchased. The “Sights and Sounds” pack includes the soundtrack, a PlayStation theme along with Joel and Ellie avatars. Whilst the Survival Pack contains a slew of game enhancements. These include bonus experience points and skins for the single player game, and boosters, customisable items and in game currency for the multiplayer.
