Rockstar Release Max Payne 3 Painful Memories DLC
For those of you who are still shoot dodging your way through the Max Payne 3 multiplayer, Rockstar have released the Painful Memories DLC which introduces four new maps, two new avatar factions and new weapons.
As the name of the DLC suggests, the maps focus on the flashback levels seen in the single player campaign. Marty’s Bar in Hoboken New York should provide some nice and tight firefights, while the Panama levels are represented by both the Brancho Yacht (another confined location) and the surrounding canal warehouses for those who prefer a larger playing area.
An additional draw for long term fans of the series is the re-imagination of the Roscoe Street subway station from the first Max Payne game that makes up the fourth map.
New avatars factions include the Panamanian paramilitary group that Max encounters onboard the Brancho Yacht and, more interestingly, members of the De Marco crime family which are represented by contest winners from a recent “casting event“.
In addition to the above, two new assault rifles form part of the DLC, the UAR-21 comes with a suppressor and red dot sight whilst the IMG 5.56 comes with just the red dot sight.
Adding new items perks and a new burst skill (hangover) into the mix should help keep those who are involved in gangs busy until the release of GTA V whereby they’ll be able to port their gang over to Los Santos for further mayhem.
The DLC is released across all three platforms and costs $9.99 on PC and PS3, and 800MS points for the Xbox 360.
