Netflix Signs Streaming Deal with Disney

Netflix has signed a contract with Disney for an undisclosed amount that will allow Netflix to stream new top rated movies at the same time they would come to Pay to Play services. The deal which includes Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation, Marvel and Disney Nature will take effect in 2016. More over, under the deal Netflix will become the exclusive United States subscription television service for first-run, live-action and animated feature films!

The media service also signed another deal to stream a catalog of Disney classics such as Pocahontas, Dumbo and Alice in Wonderland which will start immediately.

“Disney and Netflix have shared a long and mutually beneficial relationship and this deal will bring to our subscribers, in the first pay TV window, some of the highest-quality, most imaginative family films being made today,” Ted Sarandos, Chief Content Officer at Netflix, said in a statement. So look for some of your favorite Disney classics coming soon!
