Releasing This Week: December 2nd-8th

As we approach 2013, this December brings us some of the last launch titles of 2012. During this year, we saw many great titles come into being, great sequels to famous franchises and a step further towards the next gen with the WiiU. The next Xbox and Playstation talks have also been opened up. A great year for gaming is coming to an end. Games releasing this month will close out the curtain for 2012. Some of the games releasing the next week are:

Far Cry 3: The game launches on December 4th in North America. It releases for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Players will assume the role of protagonist Jason Brody, part of a group of friends on vacation who are captured by Vaas, the leader of a group of pirates working for a slave trafficking ring. Jason escapes and now seeks to rescue his friends. It has been reported to be a great and the best addition till date to the Far Cry series.

Guardians of Middle-Earth: It’s another Tuesday release for the Xbox 360 and PS3. It brings a multiplayer experience with up to 10 players in 5 vs 5 competitions in the epic setting of Middle-Earth. Notable playable guardians include Gandalf, Gollum, Sauron and many more.

Mass Effect Triology: It is a compilation of all the Mass Effect games in one bundle for the 360, PS3 and PC. The PS3 version will feature all the Bringing Down the Sky content in Mass Effect. The pack is also a Tuesday release.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim-Dragonborn DLC: The game releases on Tuesday for the Xbox 360. It follows the previous DLCs, Hearthfire and Dawnguard. Yet, there is no word on the PC or PS3 versions of the game.

Resistance Collection: This is a Wednesday release for the PS3. The bundle will consist of Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance 2 and Resistance 3. DLCs from the last 2 games have also been included.

GTA: Vice City: The game releases on the App Store and Google Play Store on the 6th. It is a port of the original 2002 title. Rockstar announced  the game as a 10 year anniversary treat for gamers. The port is expected to have better character models, controls and ”native high-resolution graphics” with support for retina display.
