Battlefield 3 Premium has hit a big milestone.

Battlefield 3 Premium, EA’s DLC subscription service, has reached the 2 million subscribers mark.  If you aren’t aware, Premium gives you access to five DLC packs as well as some exclusive extras for a price, not dissimilar to Call of Duty’s Elite service for Modern Warfare 3.

Back in July, EA announced that the subscibers for Premium had hit 1.3m, so that’s a decent jump.  The figures were announced during EA’s financial results for Q2 of their 2012 financial year.  In addition to the increase in Premium subscibers, there has also been a 40% increase in digital revenue.

“EA is performing well, once again beating street consensus in fiscal Q2,” said CEO John Riccitiello. “We delivered yet another quarter of sharp digital growth, with digital revenue up 40% compared to the same period last year, reflecting our strength across multiple brands and channels.”
