After four straight weeks at the top of the UK sales charts Electronic Arts’ FIFA 13 was outsold by Electronic Arts’ Medal of Honor: Warfighter last week, despite (or perhaps because of) the game’s dismal post-release reviews.

Specific sales numbers were not disclosed, however, UKIE GfK Chart-Track notes that the new Medal of Honor failed to outsell the launch of the previous game in the series (which was appropriately titled Medal of Honor). It is also worth noting that, Warfighter‘s predecessor was the third best-selling UK launch title in the franchise behind Frontline and Rising Sun.

Basically, whatever Medal of Honor: Warfighter‘s first week sales in the UK happened to be, it fell far short of setting any records for the IP.

Looking at the Individual Formats chart for last week reveals that the EA titles failed to make a clean sweep in the UK, as Microsoft’s Forza Horizon was actually the best selling single platform release.

The UK Top 20 Software All-Formats Chart for the week ending October 27, 2012 is as follows:

1. Medal of Honor: Warfighter (EA)
2. FIFA 13 (EA)
3. Forza Horizon (Microsoft)
4. Skylanders Giants (Activision)
5. Dishonored (Bethesda)
6. Just Dance 4 (Ubisoft)
7. Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask (Nintendo)
8. Moshi Monsters: Moshlings Theme Park (Mind Candy)
9. Doom 3: BFG Edition (Bethesda)
10. Resident Evil 6 (Capcom)
11. Borderlands 2 (Take 2)
12. Pokemon Black 2 (Nintendo)
13. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Bethesda)
14. 007 Legends (Activision)
15. F1 2012 (Codemasters)
16. Pokemon White 2 (Nintendo)
17. PES 2013 (Konami)
18. New Super Mario Bros 2 (Nintendo)
19. LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes (Warner)
20. XCOM: Enemy Unknown (2K Games)
