Good news to fans of the hit animated comedy. Activision have released a press release today which confirms that Family Guy: Back To The Multiverse is set to drop in just under a month. The title will launch on PS3 and Xbox 360 on the 20th November in the US and the 23rd November for Europe.

The other good news is that new screenshots released with the announcement shows off the games co-operative and competitive multiplayer in action which will include ” plenty of unexpected gags and cameos at every turn” as you would expect from a show that packs in more non-sequiturs in its episodes than plot.

However, there is some bad news. Just a month away from release and there isn’t a single sign of a release trailer or, more importantly, a video showing the game play in action. Which is not a good sign.

Back To The Multiverse is a continuation from one of the highly popular Brian and Stewie focused episodes in which the duo travel through an eclectic range of different universes including one where everyone exists as a Disney character and another which is solely populated by a person in the distance who shouts compliments at you. From the screenshots released so far (many of which can be found below) the game is set to riff heavily on the fan favourites from the TV show and feature some suitably outlandish locations and props (sperm ships in space anyone?).

Playing games since I'd developed enough motor functions to hold a joystick. From Commodore 64 all the way through to the latest gen. Favourite games to play are FPS games and anything with a deep and compelling story and a world that draws you in. I also enjoy writing, film making and playing bass in whatever band will have me :)
